When the rain sneaks in

Weather Situations

We're lucky with the weather in Northern California — but every now and then a good soaking rain lands on a Wednesday. Here's how we handle it.

If rain is coming

When substantial rain is in the forecast, the scheduler — in consultation with the course and a Board member — can call off the round the night before. If a cancellation goes out, the scheduler also lets the course know.

If it's uncertain

When conditions are touch-and-go, each member should call the course directly to ask about the rain, whether cart paths are mandatory, and anything else that affects play. From there, it's your call whether to play or sit this one out — just let the course know either way.

On the schedule

When weather looks imminent, the scheduler adds a reminder to the sign-up sheet for that week, so keep an eye on the round's details.

Quick check: the Schedule and your Members dashboard show this week's forecast for the course we're playing — a handy first look before you make the drive.
